Dr. M. Yadav is a distinguished and experienced allergist whose groundbreaking research and clinical contributions have shaped modern understanding of allergic diseases.
In 1969, he completed his doctoral thesis on neonatal immune mechanisms in macropod marsupials that has lay a foundational insights into early – life immunity .
Over the years, Dr. Yadav has made significant contributions to allergy research. One of his notable studies, conducted in collaboration with the University Hospital Paediatric Department, focused on milk allergy in infants. This has paved the way for wider investigation and parental guidance on infant allergies.
Beyond research studies and academic articles, Dr. Yadav authored the book Causes and Prevention: Allergy and Asthma in 2005. His passion for the field has led him to share his research at over 50 conferences worldwide. In 1998, he organized Malaysia’s first Allergy Conference.
Dr. Yadav has received numerous honors and awards since 1983. He was the first Malaysian recipient of the Yamagiva-Yoshida Memorial International Award and the prestigious Eleanor Roosevelt International Fellowship at the National Cancer Institute in Frederick, USA. His contributions to medical research were further recognized with the MSH Gold Medal in 2002.
